Weight Loss Motivation in 3 Easy Steps

It’s often the toughest part of weight loss: staying motivated to keep losing weight when there is good food in front of you and television is calling you instead of your running shoes. Fortunately there are three easy steps to follow that will keep your weight loss motivation solid. Let’s find out how:

1. Write your goals down on a daily basis. Write your exercise goals down, write your eating goals down and really get down to understanding how many calories you are going to be eating in any given day.

2. Keep track of your food intake with a food diary. Have a calorie book with you to calculate how many calories you are eating so that you don’t go over your planned amount. Make sure you pay attention to the volume of food you are eating at any given point in time. A half cup of cottage cheese doesn’t look that much different from a cup of cottage cheese but the calorie difference is pronounced.

3. Keep an accurate scale and write down how much you weigh each day. Weigh yourself at the same time every day and with roughly the same amount of clothing on.

In doing these things, losing weight is an active activity in which you are always planning and participating in your weight loss.
